Bike ride adventure full of teamwork, mateship, fun and laughter.
1,000 Ks 4 Kids is one of Camp Quality’s annual national fundraisers and a bike riding adventure full of teamwork, mateship, fun and laughter. It’s a culmination of year-round training and fundraising by a dedicated and hard-working group of people committed to creating a better life for kids living with cancer.
1,000 Ks 4 Kids is an exciting cycling adventure. We pull up in rural towns for lunch, we pedal into schools to spread the Camp Quality cheer with our awesome puppets, and we constantly engage in crazy shenanigans, fun therapy and roadside dress ups from our amazing support crew. Riders never know what is around the corner – there may be a roadside wedding, a cheer squad, Marilyn Monroe or Bruce Springstein could make an appearance – our wacky support crew members are always up to something!
The ride is the epitome of what Camp Quality is all about…overcoming challenges with a smile on your face and amazing people who support each other unconditionally and unselfishly. It is a mixture of fitness, fundraising and fun whilst enjoying picturesque views of the countryside and the homely comforts of country towns and good mates.
It’s about ordinary people doing the extraordinary with the same goal of making a difference to the lives of kids and their families living with cancer. Lifelong friends and memories are created and that’s what keeps people coming back for more each year.
